Florida International University's campus is still in shock this morning after Kendall Berry, a junior running back on the football team, was stabbed to death in the heart of the Miami campus last night.

Just after 9 p.m., Berry got into an argument with someone who pulled out a knife and stabbed him, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department report.
The fight took place just outside the front doors of the school's rec center, where athletes from all sports weight train, the AP reports
this morning. Berry died en route to the hospital.
The 22-year-old Haines City, Fl., native was expected to play an increased role for the Golden Panthers after missing last season with a knee injury. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry as a freshman and finished the season fourth on the team in rushing yards
FIU has suspended its Spring football workouts in the wake of the murder.
Miami-Dade detectives interviewed someone at length last night about Berry's death, Det. Aida Fina-Milan tells Riptide, but have since let that person go and don't consider them a suspect.
