Go Buy Art Porn and More at the Taschen Store Opening Tomorrow

​Every decadent, cultured city needs a Taschen store. Otherwise, where's a connoisseur of highbrow pornography to go when he needs a $1500 signed copy of Vanessa del Rio: Fifty Years of Slightly Slutty Behavior? They just don't sell that shit at the Pleasure Emporium.

Anyway, Miami's finally got one of these fine book spots, which makes us only the ninth city (after Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Brussels, Berlin, Hamburg, and Copenhagen) to be declared worthy of the Taschen brand. The new store is housed in the 1111 Lincoln Road building designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. And its insides, dreamed up by Frenchie über-designer Philippe Starck, are just as expensive and pretty as its face.

Go get your first look (and maybe some art porn) tomorrow at 4 p.m. when the Taschen Store Miami throws itself a grand opening party. There'll be drinks, decadence, and culture -- plus muzak by DJ Faux Real. Plus, it's free fun. Well, unless you decide to buy a $1500 book. Either way, we will see you there.
