Anytime people find themselves, or are believed to have found themselves, in awkward positions, cable news is there. MSNBC broadcast live images of two passengers stuck on a thrill ride at the Miami-Dade County Fair.

The call came in to authorities that the pair was trapped around 1:54 p.m., two hours after the fair opened. The passengers were suspended horizontally in the air for a little under an hour when they were rescued and safely back on ground by 2:45. No one seems to be injured.

CBS4 reports the ride in question was the Space Roller, also known as the Top Scan. The ride lifts passengers, seated along six "legs" jutting from a central axis, into the air and then spins them around the center, while the individual legs spin passengers head over heals. Honestly, it looks fun to us. Below, watch the video of how the ride is supposed to work and a video of the duo being rescued.
