Miami Prepares to Worship Brandon Marshall for the Next Five Years

​It's official, the Dolphins signed talented but sometimes controversial Brandon Marshall to a $50 million, five season contract making him the highest paid receiver in NFL history. We were hoping the Fins would have some big trick under their sleeves this off season, and this apparently was it. Let's see what the South Florida sportsarati has to say.

Greg Cote is super-excited: "Marshall immediately checks in just behind the Heat's Dwyane Wade and the Marlins' Hanley Ramirez in the pantheon of current South Florida sports stars in terms of talent, excitement and bankable productivity."

Armando Salguero is just glad that this means that the Jets will not automatically eat our breakfast next season: "New York, who's your daddy now? Instead of going into next season's games against Rex Ryan's defense wondering if anyone can get open against Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, the question shifts. Can either of those guys cover Marshall?"
