Charlie Crist Now Supports Repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Gov. Charlie Crist, who it should be noted is no stranger to people snooping around trying to figure out his sexuality, says he would now be "inclined" to support repealing the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. It's just the latest shift that separates Crist from his former party, and his own previous statements.

"Ultimately, as in all military matters I defer to the Pentagon and to the generals and what the Senate is doing today is giving them the ultimate authority to do what is best for our military," Crist says, according to Naked Politics.

Though, on Monday he told reporters that he said the current policy was working fine, and he saw now reason to change it.

However, Kendrick Meek has since made a point out of the fact that he is the only candidate in the race that supports repealing DA/DT. With polls showing Crist popular with a lot of democrats, the sudden shift isn't that surprising.
