• RE: Rush - Funny episode of Family Guy saw Lois get a reporter's job at the local FOX TV station. She's assigned to stake out Michael-Moore's house to catch him with his gay lover. But on closer examination it turns out that Rush and M Moore are the same person, and that person -inside multiple disguises - is Fred Savage.

• I agree that all on the list are scumbags deserving of public scorn on this list, except possibly Mark Foley (based on the info provided). If you included him, as you said, just because he is Republican, even though he never advocated against equal rights or attacked homosexuals, then you undermine your credibility and insult those like the Log Cabin Republicans. You need to recognize that there is a significant dichotomy in the Republican Party, ie fiscal versus religious conservatives. fiscal conservatives (who are derided as "moderates" and "not real" conservatives by the religious ideologues) simply (and honestly) believe in limited government, taxation, and spending, while the religios righters are the ones who want to use government power and tax dollars to suppress those who don't conform to their views. So, rethink Mark Foley for this list, because it makes you seem quite insensitive and hypocritical to condemn a man who was simply in the closest (like so many are or have been) but who never attacked the rights of other gays.

• It's an error and misleading to equate child molestation with homosexuality. Child molesters are neither gay or straight, they prefer children over adults.

• You missed a major one; the late conservative Republican mayor of Spokane, Jim West. From Wikipedia: West was good friends with David D. Hahn and both were officers with the Spokane Sheriff's Department. They also worked together as troop leaders with the Boy Scouts of America. In 1981, Hahn committed suicide after charges of his involvement in the sexual abuse of boys became public. In 1982, West joined the Washington Legislature as a Republican and served until 2003, at times holding the post of Senate Majority Leader. During his years in the legislature, West developed a record as an opponent of rights for homosexuals. He supported several "anti-gay" bills, including one that would have banned gays and lesbians from working in schools and day care centers.
