Luxury Auto Theft Ring Uncovered
"These are high-end vehicles, so they're worth a lot of money. This vehicle right here is worth over $30,000. If they were to sell it for half the price overseas it would be pure profit," an undercover Miami-Dade Police detective told WSVN.
The plot involved renting cars from local luxury rentals companies with a fake ID, and then creating fake titles to sell the cars oversees.
