Two Arrested After Mass Evictions in Liberty City

The foreclosure crisis hit a fever pitch in Liberty City Tuesday morning, as banks foreclosed on two buildings, causing the eviction of three families.
Escorted by several police officers, a bank employee showed up at 820 and 840 NW 70th St. He evicted three families living in the building, which led to a near-protest by residents and activists. Residents say they stopped paying rent last year because they believed the building manager had stopped paying the mortgage and pocketed their money.
Resident Ashaundre Young was the first arrested and apparently screamed, "They say I'm starting a riot. It's because I got the loudest voice."
Well-known activist Max Rameau, of Take Back the Land, was also arrested. [NBCMiami]
