Charlie Crist Stays With Real Housewives Star Jill Zarin While Raising Cash in the Hamptons

Page Six reports Crist was raising funds this weekend in the Hamptons, specifically from "deep-pocketed environmentalists unhappy with BP's response to the oil spill." While there, he happened to be a house guest at Jill Zarin's luxurious Hamptons pad.
Carole Rome, the first lady of Florida, goes way back with Zarin. The friendship dates back to the times of Rome's previous marriage, and the two were often snapped in Hamptons party pictures together. Zarin was one of the few to snag an invite to the wedding, and in fact, a party at her house was seen in a deleted scene from the first season of RHONY.
This isn't the first time Zarin has hosted Crist. She was listed as the host of another Hamptons fundraiser a year ago when now-independent Crist was running as a Republican.
We just have to wonder if fraternizing with Zarin is the best thing for Crist's poll numbers in the coveted Real Housewives fans demographic. The lady did not come off well last season. Watching her fight with former besite Bethanny was more painful than watching Crist split with the GOP. Then again, just as long as Crist stays away from mental patient Kelly Bensimon and New Jersey's former Miami Beach coke stripper Danielle Staub, he'll probably be all right.
