Hit-and-Run in SoBe Leaves Stilettos and Car Parts Scattered in the Street

High heels and car parts were left scattered in the streets of South Beach after a hit-and-run accident early this morning. Police say a woman was hit outside the Loews Hotel on Collins Avenue at 16th Street around 3:45 a.m.
Witnesses say the car, believed to be a dark gray Dodge Charger, was traveling 35 to 45 mph when it struck the woman. She was sent flying into the air before hitting the ground.
Police recovered the woman's high heels and a part from the car, but the driver took off. She's in the hospital, where her condition is unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. [WSVN]
