In North Bay Village, Fraud and Witchcraft Haunt a Condo Building

• Wow! I was looking into buying a unit at the property and have been doing my research on it (thank God). Now i'm not so sure I will be buying... actually i definitly won't. I dont want to get in that dirty mess by moving in...

• I am also disgusted with this man, The people of our Community have been working hard to fight this endless battle with this so called " Witch ". As a person with friends in the Wicca Religion they are appalled that someone could be labeling themselves as Wiccan and would be doing such terrible things to people. I ask that you do not judge the men and women fighting to keep what is left of our homes and that maybe you give us some advice when a Wiccan goes against "The Spiritual Laws" to benefit himself. • I live in this building, this man has lied and manipulated 146 other unit owners though e-mails and phone calls. You cannot say 1 or 2 of us are mad, or that we don't pay our maintanance fees because that is not true. He threatens anyone who dares to go against his word. He lies, cheats and steals from the condo assoc. without a worry in the world be cause he also sits on the Board of Directors. He owns the management company and sits on the board, he has no oversight and refuses to step down. We are all mad and upset with his actions, yet he continues to get away with all he does. Even the Mayor cannpt believe how far this has gone.

• Hello community. I am one of over 40 homeowners that have been involved with uncovering the truth in our condo for over a year. Unfortunately, many people are afraid to come forward since Mr. Resto/Laracuente threatens to retaliate with lawsuits and smear campaigns. Mr. Garcia-Roberts was given enough information to deem the writing of this article worthy. As a group of homeowners that have been dealing with red tape and bureaucracy we felt it was necessary to turn to the press to make the public aware of what we were going through. What is written is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm a homeowner that is tired of the abuse of power from someone that is only after their own financial benefit. We want to live in peace and unfortunately, that right is in the hands of someone that doesn't know the meaning of the word.

• @"The L": The etymology of the word "warlock" is disputed. Based on it's context, it more likely derives from the Nordic word "vard-lokkr", meaning literally "spirit caller". The word is still in common usage in Swedish and Icelandic, referring to traditional shamans, witches, et al. There is no more disrespect or offense implied than there is in calling one's self a witch. If you want to avoid offense, maybe use the [Cornish] term "pellar" instead. As to Mr Laracuente, he's just your average run of the mill selfish prick by the sounds of it. No religion is completely free of those sorts. Sadly, they make the news more often than the well grounded, mentally stable types...

• This is a dumb article, I bet you that the complaining owners like andrea Gomez are not even paying the association dues. Mr. Garcia-Roberts you have to come up with something better. I know David Edelstein and he is a great lawyer. I bet you this is one or two upset homeowners that have some how convinced a naive writer to put this story. I would not be surprised if the homeowners even created the witch flyer to have Laracuente blamed

• Fernando sounds like a totally disgusting person. As a Wiccan I am disgusted that he dares to even claim to be a Wiccan for he breaks every concept of being Wiccan and I hope they get him to court and locked aways as he fully deserves.

• This idiot is no Wiccan. His actions are in violation of the Rede and the Threefold Law. Cheating one's clients and causing unsanitary living conditions are both forms of harm. Likewise, wielding magic for the purpose of harm is also forbidden by the Rede and the Threefold Law. He should just identify himself as a Satanist and be done with it. "Warlock" is a good name for this person, since it means "Oath Breaker".

• Why did you not capitalize the word "Wicca?" It is the name of a religion. My fourth-grade English teacher taught me that you always capitalize the names of religions. I sincerely hope that your failure to capitalize the name of this one was a typographical error, rather than a deliberate show of a lack of respect for other people. The former makes you look better. ;) Also, the word "warlock" is highly offensive, coming as it does from the Scottish word for "oath-breaker." Male practitioners of Wicca are referred to as "Wiccans" or simply "witches." Some Pagan individuals use the word "warlock" to refer to child molesters and other despicable individuals who hide behind their religion as an excuse. Lastly, rest assured that while this person may be a Wiccan, his shenanigans are not approved of by the mainstream Wiccan/Pagan community. We're not too keen on the idea of people cheating other people, in general. Plus, based on the sign, Laracuente is clearly a lunatic. He needs to be sent somewhere he will receive the psychological counseling he clearly needs. --Your friendly neighborhood Wiccan

• Cool that you have that kind of article. I hope those people have proof about it. Association bussines is like a Tornado you never know when people accuse each other and sometimes without proof. Question why the article refers only one person "Andrea Gomez" is she the only homeowner?
