Dolphins Games About to Get All South Beachy
Over 400 seats and 17 suites in the 300 and 200 levels of the stadium have been cleared out to create a 10,000 square foot space that will look and feel a lot like LIV nightclub at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. Complete with a pair of bars, private cabanas and tables, dance floor and DJ booth, the space will overlook the west end zone and create a nightclub experience for the fan before, during and after the game. The SoBe club penthouse-like area was created in partnership with Miami Marketing Group (MMG). Founder and principle owner of MMG, Brian Gordon, keeps it real:
"Ultimately this is South Florida's football team, and South Beach is a part of South Florida, but South Beach wasn't always represented in the stadium experience," ... "So what this venue does is iconic of the South Beach experience. It's South Beach done football style.Yes, because when I go to Sun Life Stadium, I want to experience South Beach. Because the actual South Beach is too crammed with people and no parking spaces. So better to lay down $90 to $780 and go get the South Beach experience at the football game. Winning? Pfft. Yea, that too I guess.
But hey, we should all be on board with this idea. Ross wants to bring a "South Beach" atmosphere to Miami Dolphins football games. What a fantastic idea! Of course, that message was apparently lost in translation when GM Jeff Ireland asked potential draftee Dez Bryant if his mom was a hooker last April. That's more of a "Biscayne Boulevard" atmosphere, Jeff. Silly general managers.
