CEO of Penthouse Magazine Holding Fundraiser for Charlie Crist

​There's already the rather loose connection of Governor candidate Rick Scott to Playboy Mexico, and now it seems there's a more direct connection between current Governor and Senate candidate Charlie Crist to the raunchier Penthouse magazine. According to Politico, the CEO of the adult brand will be holding a $500-per-person fundraiser for Crist at his home next month. This year in Florida politics it seems there's a few things candidates would rather have hidden under their mattress.

Politico reports that Marc Bell will host a fundraiser for Crist at his Boca Raton home on October 7. It seems Crist will be in attendance as the invitation Politico got a hold of also offered a $2400 "VIP Picture" package.

Besides being the CEO of Penthouse, Bell also operates the Adult Friend Finder brand of websites, an explicit social networking site.

Bell's business dealings, however, haven't stopped him from being a respectable member of society. The man is no Larry Flint. He's on the Board of Trustees of the NYU Medical School, has produced Broadway plays, and it seems no politicians are turning away his money.

He donated to the presidential campaigns of George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. This year however he's donated to a few Florida Democratic House members, including Ron Klein and Ted Deutch.
