Miami Dolphins Rookie Jared Odrick Could Be Out a Month
Categories: Sports
The team thinks Odrick can be back before week 5 of the season, which would put him out for a month. For now, the job falls to Tony McDaniel while the team shuffles the defensive line around to make up for Odrick's absence. The Fins also signed defensive end Lionel Dotson and linebacker Erik Walden. They also worked out former Patriot linebacker Adalius Thomas.
For those of you keeping score, that's Channing Crowder, Tim Dobbins and now Odrick, who will miss significant playing time due to injury. As for Odrick, one can only hope he heals fast enough to get back in the lineup. Keep in mind, however, that he missed his entire sophomore season at Penn State when he suffered an injury that required a metal plate to be placed in his lower right leg. So the bad news is Odrick's right leg has suffered two major injuries. The good news is Odrick's right leg is now 70 percent bionic.
