Cocky GOP Pulls $4 Million in Rubio Ads from Florida

Categories: Politicks
How confidant is the national GOP that their candidate Marco Rubio has the Florida senate race in the bag? Well, if you could measure it in money, it would come out to about $4 million. The party is directing money it had originally planned to spend on the Rubio campaign to pour it into other races.

The GOP had $4 million worth of ads ready to go to help Rubio, but have pulled them. Instead they'll put about $1.3 million into the race in Pennsylvania, $1.8 million into California, and $2 million into Illinois.

It's a pretty grand show of confidence that Rubio is going to win the race easily. With Kendrick Meek and Charlie Crist splitting Democrat voters, Rubio is way ahead in the polls. The latest RealClearPolitics average has Rubio ahead 16.2 point over his near rival, Crist.
