Judge Issues "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Injunction, Obama Administration Expected to Appeal

​Today, in a court room in California, U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips issued an injunction that would prevent the U.S. military from enforcing its 17-year-old "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy which forbids homosexuals from serving openly in the military. About time. Though, The Washington Post also reports that, "The Pentagon and Justice Department had no immediate comment, but the Obama administration is expected to appeal the decision." The Associated Press adds, "Legal experts say they are under no legal obligation to do so and they could let Phillips' ruling stand."

So despite making fun of GetEQUAL this morning for picketing President Obama's fundraiser in Miami yesterday and demanding an end to the policy, they at least seemed to have pretty good timing.
