Marco Rubio to Appear with Sarah Palin This Weekend

Categories: Politicks
Tea Party dreams do come true! Two stars of the conservative movement, Florida's Republican senate candidate Marco Rubio and right wing queen bee Sarah Palin will share a stage this weekend in Orlando. Somewhere an eagle is surely weeping with joy.

The New York Times reports that Rubio will join Plain and Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele in Orlando at a "victory rally" this Saturday at 3 p.m. Granted, it's a little too early to be celebrating victory (indeed on the national level, new evidence suggests the Republican surge in 2010 may not be as great as once hoped/feared), but Rubio holds a large advantage in polling in the senate race, thanks in part to rivals Charlie Crist and Marco Rubio splitting Democratic voters.

So Florida will not be a repeat of events last week in California, in which the state's top of the tickets Republican candidate Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina both skipped out on appearing with Palin.

Rubio and Palin have so far not crossed paths in this election cycle. Palin never officially endorsed Rubio when he was facing Crist in the Republican primary, but to a man with a video camera at one of her rallies.
