Miami Herald Thinks Donna Shalala is the Times Square Bomber

Apparently, The Miami Herald thinks all people of Middle Eastern decent look alike. While running a story yesterday on University of Miami President Donna Shalala they accidentally ran a photo of what appears to be would-be-Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad. Shahzad, Shalala. Shalala, Shahzad. Practically the same person. Never mind that one's a terrorist and the other won the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Shalala, the former Secretary of Health and Human Services under Bill Clinton, is leading a committee advocating that certain nurses with advance degrees should be able to practice some medicine without oversight from a doctor. The Herald put a Kaiser Health News wire service story about the panel on page A4 on Wednesday, but accidentally ran a picture of Faisal Shahzad. He's the guy who just got handed a life sentence for planning to blow up a car bomb in New York City's Time Square.

Of course, The Herald ran a correction today:
Because of a technical error, an unrelated photograph was printed on Page 4A in some Wednesday editions with a story about University of Miami President Donna Shalala leading a national committee urging better education and training for nurses. Shalala's picture is at right.
Unfortunately, in the print edition Shalala's picture is actually printed on the left side.

Shalala is an American born Roman Catholic of Lebanese decent (who was also recently detained at an Israel Airport because of her last name). Shahzad is a convicted terrorist of Pakistani decent.
