Is This Nike's Hideously Teal-Heavy New Dolphins Uniform?
Nike is, in fact, taking over NFL uniforms in 2012, so the idea seemed kind of credible. The Internets went ablaze. Even Bill Belichick was asked about the designs. But are the Dolphins really going to be stuck with these monstrosities? (No, probably not. But click through to check out the full image.)
Everyone from the NFL's chief flak to CNBC scribe Darren Rovell have shot down the images as fake at this point. Why would Nike post the images on some fly-by-night message board, they ask? Why would they try to stick the NFL with such ridiculous looking costumes, they chuckle?
Well, we have a few questions of our own: Have you looked at the Oregon Ducks lately? And would it really be so crazy for a company who markets to high schoolers using a pimped out military vehicle to float a crazy-pants balloon to see what fans think of the insane designs? And couldn't this ALL BE PART OF THE MAYAN PROPHECY?!
Yeah, OK, probably not. But let's all just cross our fingers that the guys up in Eugene aren't cruel enough to inflict this teal bloodbath on Fins Nation.
What say you?
