Rick Scott Should Follow Arizona's Lead In Favor of Medical Marijuana

​Considering our new governor loves Arizona's controversial immigration law so much he wants to create a similar one in Florida, we think Rick Scott should also consider the Grand Canyon state's acceptance of medical marijuana. By a slim margin, voters said yes to Proposition 203 on November 2, making Arizona the 15th state in the union to legalize pot for medicinal purposes. He still hasn't laid out his exact plans for creating more jobs in the Sunshine state, so how awesome would Scott be if he came out and said he was going to self-fund a referendum to legalize pot for the sick and injured?

It's the perfect way to redeem himself for running that healthcare company that pulled off the biggest medicare fraud in U.S. history. The governor would not only jump start our sluggish economy, but he would actually put to work all the welfare recipients he wants to drug test. Alas, we Scott may not be on the same page. Before the election, we asked one of his spokes people if he would entertain the idea for some form of pot decriminalization. The answer was an emphatic NO. Buzzkill.
