Tony Sparano's Job is Safe... For Now
Lombardi did confirm though, that offensive coordinator Dan Henning is likely done, and someone new will be brought in.
Sparano could still face the firing squad if Sunday's game against the Patriots turn into an embarrassing loss. But hey, it's a road game and given the ridiculous trend this season, the Dolphins will probably win on the strength of ten field goals or something.
An ESPN report last week set off speculation that Sparano would be fired. Hell, we had already begun wondering about who would replace him. But rumors began surfacing earlier this week that Sparano would stay.
The Dolphins mediocrity hasn't been totally Sparano's fault. He did have to deal with two injured quarterbacks at one point, and Henning probably deserves his fate as much as already fired special teams coach John Bonamego.
