Hurricanes Women's Basketball Enters AP Top 10
The Canes appear at number ten in this week's poll. It's not the program's highest ranking (the '91-'92 team climbed to number six), but it is its highest this year and, for that matter, in the past 19 years.
Though the Canes finished with a 26-3 (12-2 in conference) record, identical to the Blue Devils', they'll take the number two seed in the ACC tournament because they lost to Duke in their lone head-to-head game. But they have a good chance of seeing them again in the tournament finals. The tourney kicks off March 3 in Greensboro, North Caroline. Here are the brackets:

Plus the Canes have been beating every other team in the conference except for Duke. Though they could very well meet #3 Florida State in the finals. The 'Canes won the latest meeting, while the Noles prevailed earlier in the season.
