Scottie Pippen Calls Chris Bosh Half a Player, Doesn't Think Heat Will Break Any Record

​When Scottie Pippen sits down to watch TV, he doesn't see much difference between Two and a Half Men and a Miami Heat game. We guess LeBron is Charlie Sheen, Wade is John Cryer, and Chris Bosh is apparently that chubby kid who's awkwardly aged in front of America. In an interview with Slam Online Pippen rips the Heat and anyone who thought they'd beat his Bulls regular season win record of 72 games.

See, analyst and former Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy won the pre-season award for hyping the Miami Heat just a little too much. Before the team ever hit the court, he predicted they'd smash that 72-win record, make a shot at the '72 Lakers 33-game winning streak and never lose more than one game in a row.

Pippen played on that '96 Bulls team, so maybe he took the prediction a little too personally and is quite happy it didn't come to fruition (this season anyway):

"I just felt it was an insult to every team that's played in this League to think that one team can be put together, and now all of a sudden we got--excuse my word--a jackass like Jeff Van Gundy saying they can win 72 games and break the Bulls' record," Pippen says.

"Who is he? So that was just something that he totally took out of proportion, to some degree--with respect to those two players, or I would say two and a half players, since I don't think Chris Bosh is half the player of LeBron James. But there's no way those guys are gonna break any type of record. I don't think they can break the franchise record in Miami, or the state of Florida, I should say."

Ouch. That's hard criticism of Bosh considering he put up the most points in yesterday's game against Boston (though, this interview happened before that game), and that it wouldn't be a stretch to call Pippen the Bosh to James' Jordan.

Anyway, it's good Pippen is getting some headlines, because soon he'll be known as "that dude who's married to one of the Real Housewives of Miami."
