Watch Natacha Seijas Storm Out Of Her Video Deposition In Recall Lawsuit

When lawyers for Miami Voice -- the group that organized a successful recall effort against County Commissioner Natacha Seijas -- got her to sit down for a video deposition yesterday, they asked Herald reporter Matthew Haggman to come and watch. It's not that unusual a move. Depositions aren't open by law, but the press is free to sit in if invited.

Seijas and her attorney, Stephen Cody, were not exactly thrilled with the arrangement. In fact, when Haggman refused to leave, the pair pulled off their microphones and stormed out. Click through for the video!

The clip is courtesy Geniusofdespair over at Eye on Miami, who rightly points out that Seijas has some NASA-worthy lasers projecting from her eyeballs throughout her brief appearance on camera.

You may want to don a welders mask or build one of those eclipse-watching boxes before playing the film to protect your corneas.

Look, I hope the old bat-wing is successfully recalled out of office as much as anyone ( she hates Manatee's for God's sake) but there was nothing "storming" about her departure. In fact the way she appears in the video, almost a "deer in the headlights" quality with all her blinking, could elicit empathy for her from many a clueless voter...is the witch dreaming of an acting career?

After watching the video, it is extremely evident that the reporter's prejudice has more to do with the adjectives employed as opposed to the video record of the event. On advice of her counsel, who stated the pertinent case law underpinning, Ms. Seijas calmly removed her microphone and left the seat. Nothing shown indicated a description of "storming" or "NASA-worthy lasers projecting from her eyeballs".I realize that Fox News has made 'yellow journalism' once again a popular form of press. I did NOT realize this aberration had infected the print medium until today.Mr. Editor; please return to reporting FACTS without editorial, prejudicial commentary.
