I voted for the Mayor the first time when he promised to "fight corruption" in County Hall. He seemed to be on the right track at the beginning, but slowly became a part of the corruption himself! I worked at the County for 17 years and was a County executive, and saw the abuse of power of the Mayor and his group. I always spoke up when I saw any "corrupt activities." The big boys at County Hall did NOT like that. I was exposing their wrongdoing and they had to "shut me up!" I suspected that they were going to fire me so I asked to speak to the Mayor (he knew what was going on because I was known for bringing out wrondoing). I wrote him an email and asked to see him; Denis Morales replied and said that the Mayor was too busy and that he would see me instead. I had dealt with Denis before and had seen how power had gone to his head. I wanted to speak to the Mayor to ask for his assistance in ensuring that I was not fired for bringing up corruption. I emailed him again; Denis wrote me back a nasty and demeaning email. I was fired in no time! When asked to face and fight corruption, the Mayor turned his back on it and did NOTHING! He had become a part of the corrupt culture that runs rampant in County Hall. Vote YES to recall this Mayor! We have enough crooks and they need to GO!

carlos needs to go giving his inner circle of workers a 20 to 30 percent pay raise when they were already making 60 to 70 thousand dollars a year and then telling city workers they are getting a 5 percent pay cut then taking money from the marlins to build the stadium and then they gave him money to fight the recall and then going on the news saying nothing wrong with it that was a clear conflict of intrest and then raising property taxes 14 percent and then saying the city is broke if thats the case why dont you and all the city comminisiners drive hybrid cars if they are that concerned with the budget

I have already voted at Miami City Hall in Coconut Grove to have Alvarez recalled. It was the first time I've felt a need to recall our Dade County Mayor, I've been a registered voter since 1977...
