Arrested Hurricanes LB Ramon Buchanan Has Been Reinstated

Buchanan caused a scene in the men's bathroom at Fat Tuesdays in the Grove at 1:30 a.m. on Friday the 18th of March, and when police tried to arrest him he allegedly tried to head butt one of the officers. The 21-year-old football player was eventually pinned up against a wall but continued thrashing and trying to head butt officers. He smelled of alcohol at the time.
Buchanan was charged with two felonies -- resisting an officer with violence and battery of a police officer or firefighter -- and three misdemeanor counts of trespassing, resisting without violence and disorderly conduct.
Buchanan was immediately suspended from the team indefinitely, but according to The Sun-Sentinel he has now been reinstated:
Golden said Thursday that Buchanan's suspension has been lifted despite still facing felony charges. He also said he was satisfied by the steps Buchanan has taken to meet the requirements he was expected to fulfill in order to return.Buchanan's court hearing is set for April 18.
Buchanan is only the second UM football player to be arrested in the past four year. Since-transferred quarterback Robert Marve was arrested for punching a car mirror.
Golden also denied reports that six other players have been suspended for non-legal reasons, but did not deny that those players are in some sort of trouble with the team.
