Florida Mom Threatened to Kill Son For Not Getting Haircut

Florida has something of a real life Serial Mom on its hands.

​Something about being a mother makes a woman want to make sure than her male offspring have the neatest, tidiest hair possible. Usually when a son forgoes regular barbering it usually results in sighs of, "Fine, just walk around town with your hair all a mess and let everyone think your mother didn't raise you right."

Well, Donna Townsend of Port St. Lucie was so pissed that her 14-year-old son refused to sit for a haircut she pulled out a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill him.

TCPalm reports that Townsend was trying to cut her son's hair, but the boy protested. Townsend flew into a rage and grabbed the 14-inch blade from the kitchen and said she might as well "kill him." She was shouting face-to-face with her son while holding the blade when the boy managed to take the knife from her. She also bit her son.

Townsend was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The son and his young sister are now in the custody of a relative.
