Eight Miami-Dade High Schools Make Newsweek's List of 500 Best

​Newsweek has taken up the hard work of finding America's 500 best high schools, and eight are in Miami-Dade County. According to the list, the appropriately named School for Advanced Studies is the best high school in Miami-Dade and the 28th best in the nation.

Here's a list of all the Miami-Dade schools that made the grade.

The first number represents the school's overall rank. The numbers in parentheses indicate the student/teacher ratio, graduation rate, results on AP and IB tests, percentage of students bound for college, average SAT score, and Newsweek's overall score.
