Dwyane Wade Open to Possibility of Playing Overseas During Lockout

Categories: Sports
Dwyane Wade could be taking his talents across the ocean. The Miami Heat guard was in suburban Chicago with Chicago Bears (and former Miami Hurricanes) player David Hester while the two were hosting camps for kids. Wade told the AP he'd be open to playing for the foreign league if the NBA lock out drags on much longer.

The AP article doesn't quote Wade directly, but here's the meat
Dwyane Wade could see himself and other NBA stars eyeing an overseas contract if the lockout drags on, just like New Jersey's Deron Williams.

Williams was discussing a deal with Turkish team Besiktas, and Wade says he'd consider playing in Europe at some point if the situation is not settled.
While many lower level players are considering signing with foreign leagues during the lockout, there's been little talks of a big stars like Wade taking their talents elsewhere. "Miami's team is top-heavy, and there's no overseas team that can offer LeBron James, Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh enough to entice them," wrote The Palm Beach Post.

However, there's reports that Lakers stars Kobe Bryant may be playing in China during part of the lockout. Bryant would be bringing along other NBA players to form two or three exhibition teams that would play each other.
