Meet Your New Dolphins Quarterback: Pat Devlin
![]() |
As a fifth year senior, Devlin lead the Delaware Blue Hens all the way to the FCS championship game, and racked up 5,696 yards and 38 touchdowns in his two years with the team after transferring from Penn State.
Devlin had entered the NFL draft, and at least one NFL network analyst, Mike Mayock, believed he was one of the top ten QBs in the draft, but the former Blue Hen's contractual eggs went uncollected.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Devlin was said to have been contacted by many teams on Monday night, but decided that the Dolphins were the best option. Probably because as of right now, he'd only be competing for playing time with Chad Henne. That might change as the 'Fins look at veteran QBs, and the guy doesn't seem to be the immediate solution to the offense problems. That being said, he has the potential to develop into a solid player.
