QB Matt Moore Signs Two-Year Deal With Dolphins

Well, that didn't take long. According to the Oregonian, quarterback Matt Moore has signed a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. This pretty much ends any speculation that the Fins would sign a proven QB better than Chad Henne.

As we mentioned in a now-obsolete post we put up just 15 minutes ago, the Dolphins had reportedly begun talks with Moore after discussion with Orton hit a standstill.

Moore signed with the Cowboys in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. That's when Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano were still in Dallas, but he was quickly dealt away to Carolina, where he spent a shaky four years hampered by injuries. He started in 11 games during his time with the Panthers and led the team to victory during four of his five starts during the latter half of the 2009 season with a 98.5 passer rating.

His two-year deal is reportedly worth $5 million, with incentives that could push it up to $7.5 million.

To put it in perceptive, the Dolphins QB roster now includes two guys who came into the league undrafted, a sixth-round pick, and a second-round pick. How are Dan Carpenter's feet looking this year?
