Twitter Is Confused About Miami Marlins Name Change

Some people seemed hopeful that the name change would help fans find the stadium:
Florida Marlins changing name to Miami Marlins? Now that we know what city they play in people can actually show up to the game now
Others pointed out that a name change worked out pretty well for the Tampa Bay
Miami #Marlins? Well, the last MLB team in Florida to change their name had quite a turnaround... #Rays
Of course our favorite is the geekiest. A newscast in Back to the Future II stated Miami (OK, the Miami Gators) would beat the Chicago Cubs in the 2015 World Series:
If the renamed Miami Marlins move to the AL as a part of realignment, Back to the Future 2 had the Cubs over Miami in 2015
Others assumed the Marlins were trending for the usual reason they make news:
The Miami Marlins are trending! Did they trade the entire team away again? #NobodyCares
True, it's not the clunkiest name in baseball:
Well at least its not the Miami Marlins of Florida
However, there was still a large group of people who weren't aware the Marlins have always played in Miami-Dade County:
Tampa Bay Marlins will become the Miami Marlins in 2012. #MLB
