Two drive-by shootings in Miami this weekend that occurred just block and hours from each other resulted in the death of two people, and the injury of three others. The first critically injured a teenager, while the second claimed two lives and left two others injured.

The first occurred near the 1400 block of NW 60th Street in Liberty City in the middle of the day Satuday while a teenage boy was walking home. A white Nissan approached the 15-year-old, and three people in ski masks opened fire. The boy was hit multiple times but managed to escape to his apartment building before collapsing on the second floor. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, and is in critical condition.

A second shooting occurred early the next day just two miles away around 12:30 a.m. in Little Haiti near Northwest 54th Street and Fifth Avenue.

At least two people in a dark-colored, midsize vehicle were believed to have shot multiple times into a crowd of people before speeding off. Two men died at the scene, while another man and a 17-year-old girl were left in critical condition and rushed to Jackson Memorial. All victims were in their late teens or 20s.

There is no indication yet that the two incidents were related.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call Miami Police Department's Homicide Unit at 305-603-6350 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
