Details emerge about Marshall's strange April 22 stabbing.
After giving conflicting statements about the Dolphin wide receiver's bizarre April 22 stabbing, neither Brandon Marshall nor his wife Michi Nogomi-Marshall were convicted of a crime. But the release of documents yesterday leaves the door wide open for us nosy assholes to judge for ourselves what happened.

According to reports obtained by the South Florida Times, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies discovered "a trail of blood" crisscrossing Marshall's Southwest Ranches home.

Also among the inventory: a bloody kitchen knife and an ammo clip for Marshall's handgun.

According to police reports, Nogami-Marshall called 911 that afternoon. "Please come -- it's an emergency," she said twice before hanging up.

When BSO deputies showed up to Marshall's gated estate, they found "a trail of blood leading from the front doorway to the kitchen and another trail towards the Marshalls' bedroom." Near the front door they discovered "a large kitchen knife covered with blood and a small, but loaded, magazine from an unknown firearm."

The bloody clip, it turned out, belonged to Marshall's Smith & Wesson "Bodyguard" .380 semiautomatic handgun, which was loaded when Marshall showed it to police.

The rest of the story is well known, with Marshall admitting the blood was his and initially refusing medical treatment despite the stab wound to his side. He claimed at the time he had fallen on a broken glass vase.

Nogomi-Marshall was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. But that charge was dropped July 29 because of conflicting evidence.

Marshall, meanwhile, has fully recovered from his injury just in time to lead the Dolphins to another season of mediocrity.

The star wide receiver recently blamed off-the-field controversies such as the April 22 stabbing on untreated borderline personality disorder.
