Is Reggie Bush Sabotaging Kim Kardashian's Wedding?

The answer to the question in the headline, depending on your outlook, is either "probably not" or "who the hell cares?" Yet, by virtue of the fact that newly minted Miami Dolphin Reggie Bush used to date the crown jewel of the Kardashian empire, the team's media relations people better get ready for the kind of tabloid onslaught they've likely never seen before.

After a relationship and engagement that were broadcast on America's klassiest television program, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Bush and Kim Kardashian called it quits last year. Now Kimmy is getting hitched to NBA free agent Kris Humphries.

Cue the gossip reports that Bush is trying some last-minute text-based efforts to steal Kim back. Both Life & Style and Page Six carried similar reports this morning.

"He's been sending text messages to Kim and leaving her voice mails, telling her she's making a mistake and that he's the one for her," an unidentified "source" supposedly tells Life & Style. "In the past, Kim was friendly to Reggie but now she's stopped responding."

Another source claims Bush even messaged her during her wedding gown fitting, asking for a second chance.

Unless L&S has taken a page out of the News of the World playbook and is hacking some phones, we'd put about as much weight in their reporting as we would in the idea that Chad Henne will be next year's Super Bowl MVP.

Regardless, as long as Kim Kardashian is tabloid gold, expect Bush's personal life to keep making appearances in the gossip-sphere.

Though, there is the smallest part of us that would kind of like to see a Kim and Reggie reunion. Mainly for two reasons: (1) Now that Jennifer Lopez has divorced Dolphins minority owner Marc Anthony, there is a large-ass-accommodating chair vacant in the owners box, and (2) you know you really, really, really want to see a Kim Kardashian vs. Gisele Bündchen cat fight on the sidelines of the next Dolphins vs. Patriots game.

Well, OK, and also we really enjoy writing about Kardashian topics for pure page-view whoring reasons. But we can still hold out hope that maybe the Heat will sign Kris Humphries next year, can't we?
