Neither rain nor snow nor gloom of night would deter Postal Service workers from their appointed rounds, but thugs will. Three times in the past two weeks, mail carriers have been robbed with two incidents in North Miami, and a third in Miami Gardens. Two of the incidents involved beatings, while another was an armed robbery.

The first incident occurred sometime during the week of October 3 in Miami Gardens when a worker was robbed and beaten according to WSVN

On Friday in North Miami, a female letter carrier was also robbed and beaten. The thieves then made off with the carrier's master key.

The most recent incident took place this morning, again in North Miami. The postal worker was robbed by a single male suspect at gunpoint at Northeast 133rd Street and Sixth Avenue. Luckily this time, the victim was not injured, but police are still searching for the gunman.

Huthorities are not yet sure if all three crimes are related.
