How far has Herman Cain fallen? Even controversial South Florida congressman Allen West is kicking him when he's down. About murmurs that Cain is "reassessing" his campaign and thinking about pulling out despite having been the front-runner not so long ago, West went on a Washington, D.C. radio station this morning and called Cain a "distracter."

"Beyond reassessing his campaign, he probably needs to understand that he is a distracter for what's going on right now and we should move on," West told WMAL.

You can listen to West's full interview here:

Interestingly, Cain and West are the two highest-profile African-American Republicans to have found support among the Tea Party movement.

West, however, thinks the GOP race will eventually come down to a two-man race between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. Today's most recent poll among Florida voters seems to indicate that's a sound prediction.

Though, West is aware Gingrich may have some personal problems.

"He does have that 200-pound rucksack on his back with a lot of the personal baggage that people are going to come at him about," West said.

If Gingrich was successful, West wouldn't mind being his vice president.

"If people in this country believe that I can make a difference and that I can help to get our country back on track... If I can make a difference, then I'll answer that call," West said.

Apparently West wasn't happy when we predicted Cain would be America's first black vice president.
