Herman Cain Back on Top in Florida Polls, Somehow
Here's the results of the Ramussen poll of 788 Likely Republican Primary voters taken yesterday, November 9th:
- Cain - 30 percent
- Romney - 24 percent
- Gingrich - 19 percent
No one else got more than 10 percent.
Not only are the numbers surprising after Cain's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week, but they're also the only recent major poll to show Cain on top in the state. Polls taken late last month showed Romney was still the Florida favorite.
This poll could be a statistical outlier. Or, you know, it is also very likely that Florida Republicans are just cray-cray, and support candidates based not on their merit but rather on how much they perceive the left to hate them. Which is fine for Democrats, because no polls show Cain having much of any chance at the moment to actually beat President Obama.
