The Miami Hurricanes Become the Joke on Happy Endings
Happy Endings is one of those shows you should be watching but aren't (but not as much as should be watching Community -- its on at 8 tonight on NBC! Just saying), and it's kind of like Friends in that it involves six young friends living in the big city. Except this time, the big city is Chicago, and there's a lot more actual jokes and no laugh track. Plus Chandler is actually gay, and there's an interracial couple!
Anyway, Damon Wayans Jr.'s character decides to go on a secret staycation downtown to avoid a visit from his wife's sorority sister, and he makes friends with ESPN sportscaster Brent Musburger (AKA America's Sweetheart). Musburger councils him on marriage the only way he knows how: by recounting the 1984 Miami Hurricanes-Boston College game. Eh, at least it wasn't a Nevin Shapiro joke.
We're just surprised no sitcom has made fun of the Marlins yet, but they do a pretty good job of that themselves.
