Mitt Romney Takes the Slightest of Leads in Latest Florida Poll
The News Service of Florida released a poll, though, one that was taken two weeks ago, that shows Romney leads the pack with 27 percent to Gingrich's 26 percent. That's a statistical tie, but not good news for Gingrich. A poll from November showed he had 41 percent support to Romney's 17 percent. No other candidate was above 5 percent.
According to the latest RCP average, Gingrich still leads the pack nationally with 2.2 percent.
Gingrich, however, has now fallen to fifth in the latest poll in Iowa and is now behind former outsider candidates such as Ron Paul and Rick Santorum. Romney now has a slight lead in most Iowa polls.
Just admit it, GOP -- Mitt Romney is Wesley Snipes to your Liz Lemon. (Do Republicans even get 30 Rock references?) The universe wants you to settle for each other. You might be miserable, and you might end up sleeping in different beds, but at least with Romney, there's a better chance those beds will be in the White House.
