Ron Paul, President of Straw Polls, Wins Miami Straw Poll

Yep, yet another example of unbiased reporting.  Keep it up guys, every time you slander Paul he gets another hundred votes.  The fact is that after the Obama fiasco, nobody really trusts what the media has to say anymore.  Please keep slamming him just get the name right.

It's not scientific you idiots!  Just like the group of people at my gym right now is not a representative sample of the population at large.

There are just more of us than the media wants to admit. So I guess now polls don't matter and Iowa won't matter right? How stupid do you think your readers are?

Yeah, but CNBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, CNN ...all of those are corrupt and don't report the truth, so I am done even listening or reading about their polls. Too much BULL in those polls. The Word on the street is what I listen tonow, and it is whispering (The media is going to get a rude awakening, as are the Democratic party and Republican Party as ONLY Ron Paul is not ocrrupt, and is the only true Tea Party Candidate that the countries forefathers would be proud of, the rest have just ruined the political System, time for Ron paul to fix things.

Which scientific poll is right?

Today, 2 polls from NH were released.   Both "Scientific".

In 1, that had a 4% margin of error, Ron Paul had 21% of the vote.   It polled 600 people.

In the other, that had a 4.9% margin of error, Ron Paul had only 8% of the vote, it polled 400 people.

Well, basic math says that one of these "scientific" polls is extremely wrong.    Because if you take the margin of errors, the closest you can get the 2 polls to each other using the extreme error for both is Ron Paul 17% in 1, and Ron Paul 13% in another.

So is it really "scientific"?    No.   "Scientific" means nothing when the data is skewed, which is obviously easy and possible to do.

So the top tier is based on straw poll losers?  So to be in the top tier is being unfaithful to your marriage vow?  It seems so.

Anyone who puts their personal pleasure in front of there sacrifice.  should  not be president

This was a comment that one of the Pasco GOP Establishment Committeemen said - "This wasn't a win for Ron Paul," Bunting said. "The Republican Party of Pasco won this. Everyone that came in to vote, we took their $10." If the candidates that they support win (Perry, Newt, Romney), all we've essentially given them is some fancy inked toilet paper. What county party will they lead when the Keynesians they support print and spend our country into oblivion? It was very clear that this was a "Florida" poll. Yes, it was held in Pasco County, but why didn't they set the rules to allow only Pasco residents to cast their vote? These people are obviously upset that the only fiscal Consitutionalist running for president won it. Anyone could have came and supported any other candidate, but the other candidates don't have strong support. Spend that money for the establishment agenda while you can!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is sick and tired of the media trying to tell us which straw polls matter and which ones don't. It's nice to know that only the votes of some people matter!

Straw Polls don't matter, unless Ron Paul doesn't win one.. lol    Ron Paul is challenging in Iown and NH too - but that doesn't matter either right...?

I don't know how anyone in their right mind could even consider Mitt Romney. At least Perry is honest about his brain freeze, but Mitt...Moon colony?? I think someone that Mitt looks to for advice told him to just keep talking no matter what. He is ridiculous.

The fact is the national polls are only scientific  because once they pick a demographic they want to target they can skew the results almost scientifically .Until elections become determined by calling a small portion of the electorate I believe people actually getting out to vote in a straw poll should be considered as a very scientific way of determining how people will vote if the election was held that day.

Yet when Perry, Cain, Bachman, Newt, etc wins a straw poll, it's major news.   Hypocrites.
