You know what's great about ambulances? You don't have to drive them yourself. If you're seriously injured enough, you call 911. They send one your way. The paramedics strap you in and take you to the hospital. This shouldn't be new info for anyone, but apparently Hubert Lee Credit didn't get the memo. The Tampa man claims he was beat up by four men and decided that puncture wound to his head needed medical attention. So he stole an ambulance and decided to drive himself.

The incident happened last night, and Credit, 39, says he wound up with the wound after being attacked by four men according to The St. Pete Times. He saw an empty ambulance sitting outside a nearby home. The paramedics were inside treating another patient, but when they looked outside the window they saw Credit taking off in the vehicle.

The ambulance, however, was equipped with a GPS tracking unit, and police were quickly able to locate the vehicle.

Credit told police that he was merely driving himself to the hospital. He was eventually taken to the hospital, but after that he was on his way to jail. He didn't even have to drive himself. He's been charged with grand theft auto.
