Baby on Life Support After Being Beaten by Father in North Miami

Mahleb called 911 himself after the incident according to CBS Miami. He admitted to police that he slapped the child twice, and then dropped the child on the back end of a nightstand.
The child suffered a skull fracture and brain damage so severe that it has left him brain dead.
Mahleb was arrested on a count of aggravated child abuse, but those charges are likely to be upgraded if his son does not survive.
A judge this morning set Mahleb's bail at $200,000. If he manages to post bail he'll be placed under house arrest.
