Charlie Crist Says He Might Just Vote for Obama

Crist made the comments on not one, but two separate news channels today. (Obviously, the non-Fox News ones.)
"Consider? Sure, I would consider that," Crist replied when asked whether he'd vote for Obama on MSNBC. "I really think he's sincere and genuine. I think we have a lot time, a lot of issues to talk about, but I think, in his heart, he's trying to do what's right for the country overall."
"I would consider that, of course I would," Crist echoed when asked a similar question on CNN. "I'm interested in watching the campaign as it unfolds, as most Americans are. This has been a tough time for the president to govern, I think everyone understands that. But we're starting to see some positive signs going forward as it relates to the economy. That's very important."
Crist didn't have much compliments for Obama's Republican opponents however. He called the tone of the Republican primary "pretty nasty," and pointedly noted that "the word 'compromise' has almost become a dirty word" on the Right.
Crist also told CNN that he's enjoying life right now, but would considering further involvement in politics. There's some rumblings that the former Republican may run as a Democrat against Rick Scott in the 2014 gubernatorial election. His wife, Carole Crist, a registered Democrat, had apparently been privately asking around about the possibility, and some Democrats seem open to the idea.
