Debbie Wasserman Schultz Breaks Down in Tears While Reading Gabrielle Giffords' Resignation Letter

Categories: Politicks
South Florida Representative and Democratic National Committee chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz is one of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords closest friends in the House. Giffords, who is still recovering after being shot in the head during a meeting with her constituents last year, offered her official resignation from Congress today in order to focus on her recovery.

Waserman Schultz read Giffords' letter of resignation in the House this morning and broke down in tears.

"I am so proud of my friend," Wasserman Schultz said. "It will always be one of the great treasures of my life to have met Gabby Giffords and to have served with her in this body."

"Even though I know we won't see each other every day," the congresswoman concluded before reading Giffords' letter, "we will be friends for life."

I was actually very moved by her tribute to her friend.  I like it when politicians actually show emotions and remind us they are human (the ones that feel emotions that is).

What is this country coming to? Public blubbering on national TV from our congressional leaders. Throw them all out

Yeah, "Patriot," why don't you crawl back into your basement with your guns and your child porn.

I got a better idea. Why don't we throw out blabbering idiots like you who pretend compassion is something that makes people weak.
