Jeff Fisher Might Be Ever So Close to Taking the Dolphins Head Coaching Job
|Reports of Fisher possessing an upper lip appear to have been exaggerated, possibly as part of the bargaining process.|
It's not clear what changed Fisher's mind, or if he has -- Sports Illustrated is reporting that Fisher is still making up his mind.
Last Wednesday, Fisher was concerned about the "structure" of the Dolphins; according to the NFL Network, the structure of the Dolphins is now what makes Miami a more attractive option than St. Louis -- so who knows what the guy is looking for. Maybe 'Fins owner Stephen Ross guessed right and Fisher is just crazy about stone crabs and helicopter rides. Who isn't?
Fisher previously went 142-120 in 16 years with the Titans; he took the team to the Super Bowl in 2000 (and lost) and started the 2008 season 10-0 before being fired in 2010 following a 6-10 season. He took a year off, but apparently discovered that there is absolutely nothing to do in Nashville and now wants back into the game.
Sparano would replace fired head coach Tony Sparano, who was hired by the New York Jets as offensive coordinator earlier today.
