This week,
Miami New Times profiled the ten hardest-hitting blogs that make life miserable for public officials in South Florida. At a time when the
Miami Herald and other media outlets are shaving back coverage of civic and public affairs, bloggers are filling the void to investigate and expose unethical shenanigans and corruption in our Banana Republic. They come from all walks of life -- from a boat builder to a movie location scout to a legal assistant to a pair of environmentalists.
We asked the bloggers to name the worst politicians in South Florida. Here are their picks.
"Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle because she is the enabler. The county, Hialeah, and Miami would not be in the bad shape they're in if it wasn't for her refusal to prosecute legitimate public corruption cases." --
Al Crespo,
the Crespogram Report"Katherine Fernandez Rundle. The inability of her office to properly investigate and bring charges against politicians in Miami-Dade County is a clear sign of failure. She should resign." --
Homestead Is Home"Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She has missed 62 votes in Congress while gallavanting around the country as DNC chairwoman." --
Javier Manjarres,
the Shark Tank"Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado because he is an incompetent boob. He couldn't even get rid of the police chief he handpicked!" --
Mike Hatami,
the Straw Buyer"Marco Rubio. He is the worst kind of Cuban-American politician. I like politicians that bring progress to my city. Rubio regresses Miami." --
