Ann Coulter: Jeb Bush is "Embarrassing to the Republican Party"
Ann Coulter, however, doesn't care much for this nascent "Jebbers in 2012" talk, and she ripped Bush as "embarrassing to the Republican Party."
Last week, Jeb said the rhetoric emerging in the GOP primary was a bit troubling.
"I used to be a conservative and I watch these debates and I'm wondering, I don't think I've changed, but it's a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people's fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective and that's kind of where we are," the former Florida governor said Thursday during a speech in Dallas. "I think it changes when we get to the general election. I hope."
Coulter, who supports Mitt Romney, has apparently taking this a sign that Bush is planning on launching his own last minute effort to win the nomination.
"It looks like we can throw Jeb Bush's hat into the ring, along with Sarah Palin, as hoping to be chosen as the nominee after a contested convention," Coulter said yesterday on Fox News.
"I think on closer examination, Jeb Bush would be the worst of all candidates to run, for one thing," she continued. "We don't need another Bush. That would be embarrassing to the Republican Party."
"He's more pro amnesty for illegals than his brother was, more than Rick Perry was."
