Florida Mom, Dad and Son Busted for Growing Shrooms Together
Over in Charlotte County, Sheriff's deputies have arrested a mother, father and son after they discovered that the family was growing psychedelic mushrooms.
According to a Charlotte County Sheriff's Department release, deputies arrived trying to locate the one family members who apparently wasn't home: a second brother who had a felony warrant out. 20-year-old Joshua Lee Mudge answered the door and told police that his brother no longer lived at the address.
That might have been it, but then Mudge gave deputies permission to come in and look around. That's not a good idea, when, well, you know, your entire family is growing mushrooms together.

They removed Mudge from the home but he allegedly became combative and struck one of the deputies with a closed fist. Mudge got tasered, but still tried to kick and punch deputies as they put him in handcuffs.
Inside, police "located six plastic bags of Psilocybin mushrooms (51 grams), a plastic container with 1.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, six syringes labeled various types of Psilocybin strains, a sealed incubation Hallucinogenic Mushroom (Psilocybin) operation containing four large mushrooms growing in a black container, several starter containers of strains of Psilocybin mushrooms along with growing material for the mushrooms, several dried Psilocybin mushrooms, a container with assorted growing material for mushrooms, a coffee can with 120 grams of marijuana and six smoking pipes with marijuana residue."
They also found Ma and Pa Mudge: William Lorne Mudge, 55, Betty Lou Mudge, 50.
The Mudge clan were all arrested and charged with the manufacturer of psychedelic mushrooms, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
