Duh, #WINNING!
Never mind the fact that Connie Mack IV's history of bar brawls and financial problems have been talked about heavily for the past month. It hasn't apparently hurt his campaign in any way. The Republican Senate hopeful has opened a seven-point lead over Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson.

Rasmussen reports that Mack leads with 43 percent to Nelson's 36 percent. Five percent prefer some other candidate, and 16 percent remain undecided.

Just last month, the two candidates were tied. Did news of Mack once punching a former MLB player in the balls actually help him? Apparently his primary rival's "Charlie Sheen of Florida Politics" attack ads haven't put much of a dent in the campaign either.

Speaking of George LeMieux, he's trailing Nelson in a head-to-head match-up. Nelson leads 41 percent to 38 percent. Nelson also beats nobody candidate Mike McCalister, 42 percent to 28 percent. Though, the fact that he can't open a larger lead over someone as unknown as McCalister doesn't bode well for Nelson's campaign.

As for LeMieux he appears to have an uphill battle in the image department. 20 percent of voters view him very unfavorably, compared to just seven percent who view him favorably. Could his attack ads actually have hurt him? Connie Mack is viewed very unfavorably and very favorably by an equal 15 percent of Floridians. Nelson's very favorable/very unfavorable split is at 20/23.
